I dont mind paying for quality however this was certainly not it. There were no sides on offer on the menu. Located in the Melbourne Marriott Docklands, Archers is a modern, sophisticated dining space, creating timeless cuisine inspired by local. Overall good, with interesting food selections but a bit too interesting for a few of my guest.

DOCKLANDS hidden oasis gem of modern Australian food served. Everything was absolutely perfect. Our recommendation would be to offer some vegetable side dishes if they aren't going to include them with the meal. If its on when you visit, I highly recommend the wagyu beef tartare served on puffed beef tendon crisps, and the tender duck breast and braised leg, served with seasonal vegetables. I want to thank the Archers team for a beautiful experience! We will be back!! My husband had the Leek & Goats Cheese Tart and said that was really good. The serving size very generous. Do yourself a favour. The menu features an assortment of seasonal dishes that make the most of the high quality produce being used. Portion size is not by either. Dinner No apologies from the chef on the quality for the food which was expensive. Pre dinner drinks at the rooftop pool were excellent and then the dinner at Archers. A very disappointing dining experience and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

While the char-grilled steak was one of the best we'd eaten, it really needed some leafy greens or seasonal green vegetables. E-mail: n/a We ordered butcher cut steak, meant to be medium rare but i felt was almost well done, the seasoning is not really im harmony either, potato on the side very flavoursome on its own but very oily, the steak tasted tough, bitterness from burnt meat and not much flavour lamb rump was alright, again a bit too over cooked. We ordered a dairy free dish and when mains arrived 1.5 hours after the dairy free dish was missed. Our favourite dish. Amazing food, service and ambiance. (Which they took back and refunded). Also waitress was very poor. Archer's is rated 4.5 stars by 24 OpenTable diners. One of the best food I have ever had in a restaurant.

We both had the Butcher's Cut Steak which came with the best ever potato puree. No steak knives were given. This newly opened restaurant located insider Marriot Dockland, had beautiful decor and great service team. Great service, great food and simply a great night At the end when I mentioned to our waiter this Docklands restaurant came highly recommended on Google I was told dont believe everything you read on google.

I had the French Onion Soup, which tasted fine, the only issue was that the cheese crust on the top was way too thick and the spoon wouldn't cut through it, when you pushed down to try to cut through it, half the soup overflowed from the bowl. A true fine dining experience in Docklands is hard to find - but I think we found it. The French onion soup was more of a stew covered in a thick layer of cheese. Dishes include things like Yarra Valley goats curd, heirloom vegetables, grapefruit, walnut, and salsa verde, Southern highland lamb rump with potato gratin, soubise, and piperade, and crispy cauliflower with chili emulsion, and agrumes. The City Lane might have changed quite a lot since those early days but one thing thats remained constant is Pauls passion for food, travel and culture, and a desire to photograph and write about his experiences. The Butchers Cut Wagyu Steak is delicious. Food was so salty and the chips were bland, unseasoned, shoestring oven fries. Minimalistic classy and friendly atmosphere. The place was nice, food was yummy and nicely plated, if the service was great the whole experience would have been better. The service was outstanding, Nick and Will were welcoming, informative and friendly.
It was surprising with the flavours and textures. So we had to keep asking for every little things from the waiter.
Its a classy space, with low lighting, a dark, grey and black colour scheme, and a feature curved ceiling to create an intimate space, inspired by the classy hotel dining rooms of 1960s New York. As the waiter missed some people on the table and it was awkward to call him and ask for a piece of bread. The restaurant is so very beautiful however the staff was not well trained. 
We needed to take our foody friends somewhere great and we werent disappointed THANK YOU, Incredible ambiance and the food was impeccable.

Christmas lunch degustation menu was amazing Service expectable. However, the food itself was a bit disappointing. We would definitely dine there again and just hope that there was a salad or some vegies on the menu.
