It starts out really pretty, I enjoyed the opening. The pear is at the forefront of both and theyre both quite sweet. It's definitely "pink," but not tacky. Average. Got this as a sample from Macys wasnt expecting too much since I havent heard anyone talking about it. Pretty but one of the most short lived fragrances in my collection! People are always asking what I'm wearing. If youre looking for a more deep sultry scent this isnt it though but its still very nice! Rose and iris can both be a bit iffy for me but here I don't mind them- the rose is not cloying and this isn't too powdery at all. It opens with a sweet fresh pair that lasts around 10 minutes. I even had my friend who is a RELIGIOUS black opium user ask to borrow it before a night out because she liked it so much. Lots more rose. I can still smell myself after 6 hours. And for these two reasons are why I haven't bought it for myself - yet. I love a good juicy pear note. However, my husband likes it so I decided to go for a bottle. I never wouldve thought Id really enjoy this perfume based on the notes alone (Im more of a fruity and gourmand girl) but WOW, this perfume is so nice! Not even she would wear it. It doesnt have that musky powdery scent either so its just right! honestly, i feel like this is an underrated one. Smells generic, boring, simplistic, NOTHING like Delina and so disappointing considering their Linterdit line is absolutely amazing. I sprayed some on while I was getting unready for the night and by the time my head hit the pillow I could barely smell it.
not the primary reason for any girl to wear givenchy, but definitely a plus. It is somehow interesting; to me it smells like tart strawberry milkshake - not thick and synthetic, but something you make yourself from freshly picked strawberries and skim milk. more understated, coy, and appropriate for general wear throughout the day. idk how else to describe it but this perfume is so elegant while still being youthful and girly - I can imagine this is what Blair Waldorf wore during the first few seasons of GG. Lots of sweetness. Heart: Rose Essential, Iris Cool neutral fruity-musky juice for young ladies. Would not purchase unless found for VERY cheap but its nice and Ill wear the sample when I want something easy to wear in this genre. Please read the Terms of Service and Privacy policy. Not a bad scent, but definitely not for me because I'm not a fan of pear or very sweet fragrances. Not my thing though :) but I'd gladly buy this as a gift for *any* of my friends and be sure that they would like it! However, this is another one that does not last for me. i would love it if someone buy it for me but i am not sure to invest in it because this is a very common smell. I layer them and get stopped walking in a store. It is in my Top 5 at the moment (December 2020 & 2021). And I must agree with some of the reviewers that it does smell like cotton candy! the scent then dries down as a fruity floral with a musky background. Very similar vibes to Si Passione & Si passione intense.. not a unique scent.
One hour later she put her wrist in my face: STILL HERE. I had high hopes honestly, but sadly Im not impressed. I love the background of musk. Very loud in the current cool air. I enjoy eating the occasional pear, but I'm starting to realize when it comes to perfumery, I don't like to smell like them. I don't normally like the rose accord in perfumes neither the musky ones but THIS. And the sweet side comes from the pear). This scent gives a vibe of a woman who doesn't know how to flirt but is very beautiful inside and out and that's why men like her. It has this sexy gourmand to it but a light fresh aquatic note at the same time, its so hard to put into words but its amazing!! Fragrantica Trends is a relative value that shows the interest of Fragrantica members in this fragrance over time. This is almost niche-level made, delicious, mouthwatering frag, smells pricey and lux. Overall, pleasant and long lasting, but generic. The cedar gives it a lovely slightly peppery undertone. This perfume smells pleasant, if a little simple. Well made,excellent quality! Citrusy pear and ambroxan in the opening. Nothing too risky but kind of special anyways. I was hoping for more. I dont know, its supposed to be a flora musky I Brit says above and this to me is more like floral sweet gone kinda wrong or gourmand ish type .. this I cant pin point anything thats blowing me away, the sales gala were just raving over it but I can tell you I wont be buying this-unless miraculously over the next few minutes to an hour it transforms into something magical, than its all she wrote folks! It is for cool girls who work with ambition to be in Responsibility. soft pretty fresh fruity floral reminds me of Valentino Donna born in Roma but with pear. The cedar in the base grounds this fragrance and prevents it from being overly musky. If you are someone who also enjoys a nice pear note, I think this is a safe blind buy as it is quite mass appealing. It's just so good. Sort of!?! although people say it's basic, for me this perfume transmits innocence and purity. Perfect for a young mademoiselle, 20- 35 years old young women. I really loved this more than I thought I would! I don't find this fragrance to be particularly woody, it is more of a soft powdery musky/fruity/floral scent with a hint of sweetness. The same crushed sugar with raspberries and a hint of cedar with rose, and a bit of vanilla. In the same line as Idole by Lancome but notes and transitions are better rounded. It's feminine, slightly mysterious and pretty. I'm not usually a huge fan of floral perfumes, but I have to say that the bottom notes really round this scent out with a nice woody richness that I enjoy. Shares DNA with "Delina" by Parfums De Marly and even more so with "Hayati" by Attar Collection. I guess if youre into the type of lotion smelling perfumes this is right up your alley. I don't notice any other notes, although you could argue iris is present.
Perfume lovers: 791,691 Slightly more grown up, but the same level of marshmallowy sweetness. I wear it for business, week-end, friends, etc. This is hands doen one of the best perfumes of 2020, I went to Macy's smelled the tester and came home with it, get lots of compliments, someone in the comments said it smells like S original, there is absolutely no way this smells like S, which i also own and can tell you is not true. Mademoiselle Rochas is a much better, more original and cheaper option if youre looking for a pretty, pink, quality fruity floral. Cute, fluffy but also a bit sexy. I prefer by far this perfume compare to Delina of Parfum de Marly, other Givenchi perfumes, etc. I also get a musk in the dry down. I thought I'd give this another try in warmer weather. I imagine ladies wearing this to an exclusive springtime event featuring sparkling beverages, high heels, and pale pink manicures. Just OK. Opens up similar to delina like a creamy rose. The pear is overwhelmingly strong for me through the development, doesn't read to me as a floral at all. It's a bit generic but I honestly really liked this when I smelt it on a sample. Several more hours later she texted me that she just got out of the shower and she can still smell it. And I never lean towards woody scents (as this has that as part of its description) but honestly it wasnt even noticeable in this! Although it becomes much more pleasant after a while, I don't like this scent at all. Because we can. I won't ever forget this, it has made a remark in my scentmemory. I cant stop smelling myself when I wear it. Top: Pear, Ambrette Great for teenagers imo. There is no crispness here, and no bottom like Lancome's Idole, for example, which I would definitely choose over this one.This is only "Blaah" to me. I'll pass this one, the bottle is really beautiful tho. Feminine but fresh, not sure about the sillage as testing from vial sample, but could be bottle worthy for spring time as its pretty. I got a free mini bottle in an online order. Interesting how they position it as a rose fragrance, when on me I cannot smell it at all! I tried to love it but couldnt. I really wanted this one to work, too, because it's so lovely.
So I gave this away. and it lasts on my friend. Irresistible Givenchy by Givenchy is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Definitely a versatile little gem in my opinion. It isnt an overly complicated scent, and maybe not super unique either, but altogether its enjoyable and my main critique is that I wish it had a stronger sillage. Sadly. Its smells fruity sweet fresh in a light way, but with longevity. Sweet & Soapy. It is the perfect spring perfume. Rose doesn't overpower this, as it does in other fragrances. I don't feel like it developed on me, but smelled the exact same throughout the day. I'm fairly happy with thisit's a bit too light-hearted for me, but nice to try. This just isn't anything comparable. It was like standing in a swirl of pink, girly, Barbie dreams. It's perfectly sweet and sour, like strawberry yoghurt sherbet . It is classy like the bottle. And this is most definety not like that. So bummed about that. Opening was a burst of pear & fresh lemon - quite pleasant but also generic. When I got home I sprayed it on my wrist (3 sprays) and it vanished within 15 mins. It's a fresh fruity musky floral scent that is very likeable and inoffensive. A nice young woman scent, safely sweet and ok for everyday. It's mixed in with fruitiness but not in an overbearing way, or a teenager way. My boyfriend bought this as a birthday gift and I've been in love! Im questioning what was going on with the perfumersbut cant win them all, right? It screams "forever crush". Definitely fruity pear up front, then the creamy musk takes over upon dry down. I would expect something more daring or sophisticated from Givenchy. Wooow was love at first sniff and is quite strong on me. Classy, Elegant scent. Nothing groundbreaking but its a fruity musk rose. First I will say that I love the bottle. It reminds me of JPG La Belle (must be the pear) not quite as sweet with a bit musk and powder but its less serious compared to La Belle, more playful and lighter. I appreciate how the pear note is rounded and vanillic as opposed to screechy fruit accords. I got a burst of fresh fruits like pear and apples upon first spray. smell like a sophisticated rose water. This definitely has the same pear in L'interit, and is in the same genre with Idole. Great! Rose is one of the only florals I like, and paired with the pear it smells heavenly. It's so pretty. Irrsistible Givenchy Eau de Toilette Fraiche. I wish the pear tartness in the opening would last throughout to balance the sweetness a bit. Just meh! I hope to find this either on sale or maybe online for much less than buying from Shoppers Drug Mart which is the only place to buy perfume where Im located. The good thing is, this is suitable for many occasions for someone that enjoys the notes. To me this smells EXACTLY like Si Passione from Armani very generic and boring. The rose and iris emerges and that's when this fragrance shines. I think this is a great spring scent. If you like fresh sheer florals that have some sweetness and almost watery feel, this one is for you. It smells heavenly. But we are still girls. This smells so classy and cute, spring in a bottle. At first spray it opens with more rose than anything else, but it is a sweet rose. It opens up with bright pear, in your face fruit with some indistinguishable floral mixed in. I have a 10ml purse spray of, Givenchy's Irresistible EDT, that I purchased this past summer when looking for a perfect pear fragrance, in the the same vein as the original formula of YSL's Paris.
Top notes are Pear and Ambrette (Musk Mallow); middle notes are Rose and iris; base notes are Musk and Virginia Cedar. Another sample I got. I think of this as a scent you could have as your signature if you enjoy it. Non offensive, pleasant bright sparkly. My adidas edt lasts longer on me. Almost identical. This definitely feels like an easy reach for daily use. When l'interdit, which I love, is to loud I would take this. This is the perfect signature daytime or work scent in my opinion. Musk is hit or miss on me so I wouldn't wear it but I'm sure it's nice on the right person. Ive never felt so pretty holding a tester strip in a store. Givenchy's Irresistible Eau de Parfum presents a floral-wood fragrance that balances notes of luscious rose and radiant blond wood. I like it, it's a very pleasant scent. On my skin extremely soapy and not much else. I personally tried the EDP and it was too much pear and musk but this is different (or maybe that woman's skin chemistry was just made specifically for this perfume?) It will probably work all year, although I consider it kinda spring like daytime. :) There is a tiny little bit of an iris note there, too. fresh and clean. It wasnt completely unnoticeable I just wish I could pick it up more. not offensive at all. This is a more mature scent in my opinion that might be appealing to a specific population or age group. Its really flirty and I LOVE how sweet it is . Im just bought a gift set of the full size EDP (80mls) and 75ml each in body wash and body lotion. Dry down is (eventually) quite nice though but not worth suffering through the opening, which smells like a cheap teen body spray.
When I smell it from bottle I did like it but when I put it on it smell really soapy so Im bit disappointed. This scent is too strong for me and it actually makes me sad when I smell it. This can be worn for any occasion! She's wearing this perfume. Then, my like would be a love! This is very safe. Not worth the asking price. Tested at Sephora Italy and loved it.It is a soft sweet chic and very feminine fragrance perfect for spring and summer.It projects very well and longevity is a beast,very well crafted,modern yet classy besides pear it features syrawberry in the top notes,it is actually a quite complex scent,it is sweet but in a very elegant way Beautiful!
Hmm Irresistible looks promising almost identical to Dior's Homme intense with the exception of the rose in Givenchy irresistible over the lavender in DHI! Reminds me of the first Very Irresistible (when they both settle and react with my skin) more than any of its flankers. This morphed into a bright and sparkling spring day, a sophisticated effervescent rose and the initial odd note was forgotten. Really beautiful, but just not for me. However, it's my second day wearing this, and the smell is definitely sweeter than it was yesterday (same two sprays in each inner elbow). Violet 2), Ci 19140 (Yellow 5). A very sweet and pleasure summer fragrance. So the opening here is juicy pear with a musky floral note. I'm a bit shocked at how much I liked this on my skin. It dries into a musky, mellow pear with a hint of rose. Im super picky about my scents because there are very few that work on my skin. I was surprised that there is no vanilla listed in the notes. I impulsively bought the 35ml bottle without even testing it on my skin first. very very nice. The rose brings in the much needed freshness. This is the closest Ive gotten to the Live Irresistible Delicieuse fragrance without having to go through so many frag groups to find it. I dislike fruity fragrances as they always give me headaches. I've tried the other irresistible fragrances (live irresistible, very irresistible, floral irresistible, etc) and this is by far my favourite. The opening kinda smells like it could be a Victorias Secret perfume. I usually like sweeter perfumes, and this one smells more fruity and floral to me. I do like this perfume. You can smell a hint of rose but in such a powdery way that is just so beautiful, etheral, soft and kind.
