I agree about Fords fragrances for Gucci and YSL btw, they were often really original and daring. Search through our Fragrance directory and find the fragrance of interest whether it's just a smell alike or a close match. Now I have mentioned before that I may like to smell like a hooker on the odd occasion but I draw the line at looking like one, so I thought I would pass my Bag [], [] olfactory representation of Confessions on a Dance Floor is Guccis Rush. I would say the floral aspect at the start is more dominated by the rose note and the gardenia. So true, its a miracle that Rush is still around when all Gucci does these days is release flankers and cheapen the brand for more profits (not just its perfumes). Yet, the perfume ones tend to delight more so, even if they also may have changed quite a bit since your first meeting. Despite the red ads, I see Rush as white atlas. I think in this day and age where perfumes are full of aromachemicals and synthetic smelling is not a derogatory comment but the actual concept behind a fragrance, note listings like the one you quote for Rush is simply nonsensical. If you apply lightly, you might be able to wear it no problem casually, but dont go nuts with the sprays. For crying out loud what the f*** is California Gardenia and South African Freesia if not a euphemism for aromachemical that does not smell quite like a real flower but we like it. There is a reason why this is a highly rated fragrance from the early 2000s time period. LOL. A Tauer update: I wore Un Maroc Pour Elle last night and I think Im going to classify it as for when I want to smell like an escort classier than a hooker, but still dripping in seediness and sex. M7 was yet another triumph for Tom Ford (please see Gucci Rush and YSLs Nu for two others) but it wasnt a commercial success for YSL, it was a [], [] Gaga swag, namely; a veil, some Gaga tattoos and two sets of Fame bottle-esque acrylic nails. Id actually love to wear this in the fall but with the liberal dose youll need and eBays prices well need to run into some Arabian warehouse that has 500 dusty bottles lying around for no reason. The main accents to the mossy woody notes of the fragrance are the milky-sweet note of peach and the radiance of the jasmine-lily of the valley note of hedione. Underneath all of this lies a wonderful, milky vanilla that is blended with a dark, bitter patchouli. Hear Hear! The fruity notes are milky, creamy, enveloping, but the effect is more of a dry peach skin, rather than the juicy flesh. The lasting power is superrrb for an eau de toilette, but the dry down could actually make me sick. Now, I could wax lyrical for a few hours about how dashing Mr. Ford is but you dont want to hear that do you? Sometimes I just want to smell like a hooker. Pfft! I think it is the mother of all chemical assault fragrances.
