I don't know how to describe it, but the way the notes bloom on this pedal is magical. Its perfect if you like playing shoegaze, paired with a good reverb its a great combo. Doesn't change the inherent character of my amp though, which is a good thing. Tumnus into Supro 1305 drive into a clean amp and a good delay or reverb sounds amazing. Sounds amazing though my Vox, Marshall, Orange and Fender. It's so awesome and the look of it is just so groovy! Once I switch them on, I find it near imposable yo get back to where I was. The reason this happens is because the capacitors in the circuit leak a little bit of DC while the pedal is in the bypassed state. These two pedals stack really well for a lead tone! The Plumes is exactly what I was looking for! Or should I just buy a tumnus ?? I also have a Tomkat Violet Muffer, Beetronics Overhive, and SS/BS Mini, trying to figure out how best to stage them. Well worthe the money, whichis priced like the 70's pedals. There are several advantages to doing this, including extra control of the nuances of your EQ to how the gain reacts in terms of the bloom of the notes. This is the exact sound I have been looking for, and I got it at a great price. As a side note, out of frustration with reverb and delay pedals, I tried the Earthquaker Dispatchmaster, and once again, blown away at the out-of-the-box sounds Im getting.

I now get Marshallesque tones that rival the best Marshalls Ive played in my life, with the most beautiful harmonics to boot. The sounds you can coax from this thing are incredible. Useful tones from light OD to a smooth high gain. I'm using this mostly as a boost (drive down) into a Marshall DSL20 amp. Mode 3 reminds me a lot of my MIJ SD-1 from the 80's. Aside from that, this pedal has more boost power and headroom than most boost pedals. I just bought the NU Tube Screamer about two months ago. Setting up first pedal board. "This is normal. I switched to the Mesa Boogie Mark V:35 for both my rigs, and it took a great amount of reading to fully understand the EQ sections of that particular amp, which I have to say I am now convinced there is genius in the design of the Mark V series. Great sounding and feeling pedal for extremely low price. If you have a dark amp and need a tubescreamer style pedal, then the Plumes is for you. I love Sweatwater sales and service. This is the best boost/overdrive/distortion pedal I have ever used to date. My favorite mode as of right now is mode 2. The gain and level play together very well, and don't get too buzzy or compressed. It's very affordable and easy to dial in. I've only used this pedal a few times, but after experimenting with it, I've recognized that not only does it improve my overall guitar tone, it has TONS of different options in one. This is a tube screamer but the tone knob is usable full sweep left to right.
