Had multiple open times early, but being my first time on the course was looking to join a group to help navigate the course as scorecard did not have a map. Nice patio to have a drink after golf and the bar staff was friendly and nice. The golf dome is the worst part. A view of a hole at South Toledo Golf Club. I like this course. The chairs were broken for lounging, the pool water was not very clear and it was cold and there was lots of things floating around on the top, myself and another night stayer skimmed the top ourselves.
Visiting from out of town and stopped in early on a Saturday to play 18. Several times, the girls that were playing could not navigate where the next hole was.

I liked how fast and challenging the greens were.
In the Fall, many greens will be covered with leaves, which are NEVER blown off.

We lowered the price for the day because of certain areas being flooded and Heavy tractors and mowers that could not get to certain areas because of the water and could not be mowed. You can spend an afternoon exploring the galleries in Toledo Museum of Art during your travels in Toledo.

The cost to rent a cart and the cost for the group to play this course was very high considering the condition they knew it was in. There were leaves everywhere.
You're better off going to a local playground, throwing 18 sticks in the ground and playing to those. I hope we do not go back to this event. When you've finished at the golfing destination, make your way to Toledo Zoo, Toledo Museum of Art and Toledo Botanical Garden for more sightseeing adventures. no water coolers, on the course. This could be considered efficient but it was rather annoying to have to FIND our cart.
Lots to offer in the pro shop and the shop staff and starters were very friendly.

This Spring there has been "tree things" all over the greens and tee boxes. A little TLC combined with it's convenience would make South Toledo a big hit.
Rough was full of clover.
I recommend ONLY because of location. The closest stations to South Toledo Golf Club are: These Bus lines stop near South Toledo Golf Club: 31, 34. I feel there are lots of tall grass obstacles on the course as well. I personally prefer a little 'lift' in the fairway grass to have better contact with the ball. I have golfed this course a number of times.
Only gripe, and not a big one, is that coming off a green it isnt well marked or intuitive as to where the next tee box was located. The staff was very friendly.
It was an enjoyable round as the grouping was pleasant, the course was in good shape, even though the greens had been recently aerated they were sanded nicely and rolled true.

Great for our speaker and phone charging, Pro shop has everything , most public courses has ZERO selection, this place has everything. However, several areas around the course have grown wild and were full of thistle and other nasty weeds. The fairways, are tight, rock hard, full of, clover, dandelions, and oh, divots.
Without a course layout on the scorecard that is why I waited to join a group. Obvious that maintenance and watering has been intentionally reduced. I really couldn't believe I paid money to actually play this course. Try the Bloody Mary, best in the city. I only need accommodations for part of my trip.

They seem to just breed rude workers. Talk about losing business forever. There were dandelions everywhere, no sand in the bunkers, couldn't really tell the difference fairway and rough, and the greens were rolling somewhere around a 3. Location, location, location. Byrne & Tedrow SE is 1032 yards away, 13 min walk. The tee boxes were so hard that you could hardly push a tee into them.

The course is covered by several thousand trees, some over 75 years old. Overall this is average course, but with some course maintenance it could be considerably better. I would suggest this place to all players in the area.

The cost to rent a cart and the cost for the group to play this course was very high considering the condition they knew it was in. There were leaves everywhere.
You're better off going to a local playground, throwing 18 sticks in the ground and playing to those. I hope we do not go back to this event. When you've finished at the golfing destination, make your way to Toledo Zoo, Toledo Museum of Art and Toledo Botanical Garden for more sightseeing adventures. no water coolers, on the course. This could be considered efficient but it was rather annoying to have to FIND our cart.
Lots to offer in the pro shop and the shop staff and starters were very friendly.

This Spring there has been "tree things" all over the greens and tee boxes. A little TLC combined with it's convenience would make South Toledo a big hit. Rough was full of clover.
I recommend ONLY because of location. The closest stations to South Toledo Golf Club are: These Bus lines stop near South Toledo Golf Club: 31, 34. I feel there are lots of tall grass obstacles on the course as well. I personally prefer a little 'lift' in the fairway grass to have better contact with the ball. I have golfed this course a number of times.
Only gripe, and not a big one, is that coming off a green it isnt well marked or intuitive as to where the next tee box was located. The staff was very friendly.
It was an enjoyable round as the grouping was pleasant, the course was in good shape, even though the greens had been recently aerated they were sanded nicely and rolled true.

However, several areas around the course have grown wild and were full of thistle and other nasty weeds. The fairways, are tight, rock hard, full of, clover, dandelions, and oh, divots.
Without a course layout on the scorecard that is why I waited to join a group. Obvious that maintenance and watering has been intentionally reduced. I really couldn't believe I paid money to actually play this course. Try the Bloody Mary, best in the city. I only need accommodations for part of my trip.

This Fish guy has ruined yet another toledo course. It's fun and challenging when taken care of. Fairways were not watered; rock hard.

Played on a nice Saturday with lots of players on the course. Amble around this family-friendly area's college campus or attend a sporting event. The course rating is 70.8 and it has a slope rating of 124 on Bent grass.
They seem to just breed rude workers. Talk about losing business forever. There were dandelions everywhere, no sand in the bunkers, couldn't really tell the difference fairway and rough, and the greens were rolling somewhere around a 3. Location, location, location. Byrne & Tedrow SE is 1032 yards away, 13 min walk. The tee boxes were so hard that you could hardly push a tee into them.
