GM is superior where it matters, best ride, afforability, powertrain fuel economy tech like Onstar and more of what I want to make it useable and that is all that matters to me. I do not know exactly how to describe it, but it almost feels like the steering pops down and then back up with a hallow feeling. 
I have come across others who are having the same problem. Sometimes its not about who had what first, sometimes its about who has the better system. Random problems like this are why I decided to get the ESP. I am confident that there will be a fix for this. If you recall the light duty shootout extreme traction test, the F-150 truck without the locker performed better than the Silverado and Sierra with the supposed "automatic" locker. 
Onstar is superior to sinc and GM's automatic locker is superior to Ford's e-locker every day and in every day. 
It is when you are driving straight, especially when you hit small bumps in a row. Maybe full-size but no way is Ford the best in compact/mid-sized Electronic locking diff., that is so 90's e locker not available with the 6.2L with exception of Raptor. Please excuse me. I would push for a new EPAS unit and see what happens. Likely not going to get much help here in the Pickups board for those crossovers. Offering the locking diff on other models of the F-150 is a great idea. The tech drove the truck after the steering shaft was replaced in the heat of the day and confirmed the problem. We will see more devices like EPS.
That leaves lubing the whole steering system. The locking diff on other models!! Paul - Currently almost all manufacturers do not recommend mounting a plow on their 1/2 tons. Our power steering drive belts are the best on the market. Dear rich people, skip the SUVs and big sedans. Except they don't actually show anything.
