I seen earlier reviews about the pool missing tiles but I assumed this was the odd one around the side of the pool but no the pool was missing loads of tiles on the floor which were loose just in the water, we did see at least 4 people who cut themselves and had to see first aid, however the hotel were in the middle of fixing this. Popular points of interest near the accommodation include El Duque Beach, Torviscas Beach and Plaza del Duque Shopping Center. Instead we had to take baths but the hot water came out of the tap with a yellow tinge to it so we had to have cool baths which we didnt mind too much as I was extremely sunburned but wouldve liked the option for a shower or even a heated bath.

Website said long trousers needed - they werent - shorts are fine, just not beachwear. Although bottled water was not an option, there were water dispensers around the hotel to refill your own. I only went in the pool once as I was put off by the loose tiles at the bottom of the pool so this is something to be mindful of if you're coming with younger children. Website said long trousers needed - they werent - shorts are fine, just not beachwear. Although bottled water was not an option, there were water dispensers around the hotel to refill your own. All in all my boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at El Duque, it is your standard all inclusive hotel. There are two pools but we always used the big pool which was always warm. Everyday has been a joy at the hotel, staff everywhere have been so helpful and friendly, the main pool is huge (our children have spent all day in it, almost every day)and the food perfect. The hotel itself was lovely its in an enclosed gate which I liked and the complex was set out like apartment buildings the room was bigger than my studio at home and the location was nice but a bit of a walk downhill to the beach.
There is a kids club and limited day time activities but we didnt get involved so cant really comment.
