In good old Lisbon fashion, theres a staircase in the Estefnia neighborhood that leads to a bakery of artisanal bread. We ordered waffles with salmon. The cappuccino had a good taste, the foam was also good but the air bubbles were a little too big (7.8/10). Literally blah. Price: fair. When he wasn't at A Brasileira (see above), the famous Portuguese poet used to sit and write at the same table inside this caf, and you'll now see his portrait on the walls. When my older mother needed a place to rest while clambering over the hills in Lisbon to see all the usual tourist spots, we wandered into this charming little cafe. Its a treat worth the hike up the hill! Very cool place that combines great coffee with really interesting chocolate selection. Many of us are foodies on the Wanderlog team, so naturally were always on the hunt to eat at the most popular spots anytime we travel somewhere new. Oh, yes .. youll be crying for more, it is that good. Sofia Landeau delighted the customers of a now-closed caf in Chiado with her chocolate cake so much, that she felt the need to create her own brand and open two stores. Its a caf and vermute bar; its Italian but also inspired by New York, especially at breakfast with its pancakes and eggs. The interior is interesting, stylization like a streetcar.

They seem a little annoyed even if you keep ordering coffee but sit and read. We didn't try the food but heard good things about it. It was delicious with an interesting decor- vintage cafe meets that strange uncle that you suspect did a lot more travelling in his youth than you know about, with a touch of modern inserted through the beats speakers and advertised Wi-Fi code. I wish there would have been much more art and self-made our sustainable products. i was in holidays so it was ok for me, but waiting for 35-40min for 2 breakfast dishes is too long.
