The owner did the beautiful paintings on the interior. Their classic creme brulee with seasonal fruit and a tuille biscuit is superb and they also have a great cheese board. Great food.. Had the 3 course early bird menu for 29 and the steak was really good. The hake and pork belly mains were delicious. I love everything about the place. EXCELLENT dinner!! It's so pleasing.

We went in on a very busy Thursday. It's about a 10 minute walk, uphill from the tourist office or get a taxi. You can follow up, if you have room, with maybe flourless chocolate torte with West Cork cream and salted caramel, or sticky toffee pudding with vanilla icecream. Probably the best meal I had in Kinsale. Scampi comes with tartare sauce; hot oysters are poached in their own juices in a beurre blanc sauce; smoked salmon rolls are stuffed with prawns.
