A circle has traditionally been a good measure for how accurately a die cut machine can cut, so I used the rotary cutting blade and the leftover fabric from the kite card to cut a 2 inch circle. My main objective was to be able to accurately cut felt and to cut mat board and thicker chipboard for Christmas ornaments. I did not realize that the knife cutting blade did not come with the machine. Just one question, I was told that the cartridges adapter already exists, is it ?? My question applies to the Maker. I used the Maker with the rotary blade to cut out all of the pieces for my Letter Board Quilt. This renews my mats for several more uses. Thanks for that catch!

With the ability to glide and turn within a quarter of an inch, the rotary blade, by its very nature, will be more accurate than its handheld equivalent. Seems like no one else has this problem as Ive seen no blogs or anything related to this issue online. It is good to read from someone other than Cricut. This is a common misconception that Ive run into. .

You can draw with it using Cricut pens, cut paper, vinyl (here are some vinyl ideas) and fabric, using the rotary blade. At the very least the machine should cut a file someone has on their computer without being online! The Fine Point Blade comes in both machines in the box and is the blade you'll use for most materials, things like vinyl, paper, card and Iron-on. So, overnight you went from a fairly independent experience to needing Internet access and a computer for the newest machine to operate. Of course, most of the reviews I have read online have been bloggers I follow who have gotten a free Cricut Maker to try out. Still on the fence whether you absolutely need the Cricut Rotary Blade? The very small but paranoid part of me wonders what Cricut gets from me being online on their cloud while Im creating. Things that are not standard squares or rectangles (although when I have a bunch of random sizes of fabric to cut out I do use it for that). Quick swap tools work with the Cricut Maker-what makes them different to other tools is the ability to be able to press a button on top of the tool and switch the tips and housings. Thats 11 years! Makes me want to go but it right now! Cricut says there will be an adapter, but theres not a release date announced.
